Tajikistan Cash Working Group
Introduction
The main goal of the CWG is to enable a coordinated and harmonised approach to cash preparedness planning and response in the current context and for future crises. The CWG’s role is to provide an effective intersectoral cash coordination platform that will enable cash-related emergency response planning, quality and accountable CVA implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and facilitate knowledge management and evidence generation around cash programming in Tajikistan.
Strategically, the CWG aims to:
- Agree on a coherent engagement with national and local structures and partners relevant for cash programming and the existing humanitarian coordination architecture in Tajikistan.
- Work towards harmonising or developing collaborative cash-related tools, approaches, and initiatives used in development and humanitarian programming in Tajikistan.
- Promote the quality and effectiveness of cash implementation by ensuring a coherent approach between clusters/sectors and leading the coordination of multi-purpose cash assistance.
- Lead the development of common policy positions to guide cash programming in Tajikistan.
- Influence and/or support the development of government policies relevant to cash programming.
