OVERVIEW
More than 1.6+ million displaced Yemenis have spontaneously settled in 1,800+ unplanned sites and camp-like settings. Conflict-related damage to infrastructure, and natural hazards including floods, have further disrupted safe access to a minimum level of services.
The CCCM Cluster is working with 14+ partners and with the authorities to improve the living conditions and protection of IDPs in sites and ensure equitable access to services and assistance for all persons in need, with a focus on moving towards durable solutions with full participation of the displaced and host communities.
CLUSTER OBJECTIVES - 2025
- Enhance CCCM Supervision and Coordination: Improve safe access to multi-sectoral services at the site and area levels through monitoring and coordination.
- Facilitate Two-Way Communication: Establish effective information access for displaced populations and implement feedback and complaint mechanisms.
- Foster Community Engagement: Strengthen community self-organization and cohesion by mobilizing and encouraging participation among site inhabitants.
- Implement Responsive Maintenance Systems: Establish efficient reporting and response mechanisms for maintenance issues, ensuring timely repairs and addressing community priority concerns.
