Assessments Working Group

In an effort to strengthen all humanitarian operations, the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Transformative Agenda outlined concrete actions for the humanitarian community, including strengthening needs assessments. Timely, high quality, coordinated assessments increase the effectiveness of humanitarian response. Assessments inform the identification of strategic priorities and affect coordination, funding levels, relationships among actors, and most importantly, the people in need. 

In Yemen, humanitarian actors are responding to the ongoing crisis and are promoting coordinated assessments in their work, including:
