The CSS sector aims to achieve an effective and efficient coordinated humanitarian response in situations where displaced people are forced to seek refuge in formal or informal camp settings, and host communities. In Sudan, the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) system is a key component of this sector, led by IOM. The DTM tracks and monitors IDP movement across different states; it captures, processes, and disseminates information in order to provide a better understanding of population movements. DTM focuses on mobility tracking, verification and registration of IDPs, and needs assessments for urgent humanitarian needs.
