The Nutrition Cluster in the State of Palestine (SoP)

The Nutrition Cluster in SoP works collaboratively to strengthen technical and coordination capacities for nutrition interventions. Our focus is on addressing the needs of affected populations. This allows us to forecast nutrition trends, prepare for emergencies, respond effectively to shocks, and support recovery efforts within the humanitarian context.

Nutrition Needs and Response Plan

The current nutrition needs and response plan for SoP are outlined in the SoP Flash Appeal for 2026. This document succeeds the SoP Flash Appeal 2025 and the SoP Flash Appeal for April - December 2024.

BMS Code Monitoring in Emergency Situations

The International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes (BMS Code) and relevant World Health Assembly resolutions are operational in all situations. Communities that have been struck by emergency situations may encounter influxes of unsolicited supplies of breastmilk substitutes and other products that run counter to international guidelines. Reports of Code violations in emergency situations will enable the right responses to be taken.
