Site Coordination Strategy 2024 LRP Annex

Through a Mobile Site Management Support modality, Site Coordination partners will support local authorities to address current gaps in collective site management, this may also include supporting the coordination of services to IDP settings. Mobile teams will enhance local capacities through a mentoring approach to ensure the application of minimum standards. Mobile teams will also strengthen self-management structures, ensuring the meaningful participation of affected communities.

Objectives

Site Management and Coordination in Lebanon Objectives:

  • Ensuring displaced people and communities living in collective sites have access to safe and dignified living space with equitable access to information, humanitarian assistance, and basic services.
  • Support local authorities in assessing needs, monitoring and coordinating services to displaced people living in collective sites, mitigating duplication and ensuring a needs-based, diverse and inclusive response.
  • Provide capacity building support to Site Management staff, Local, regional and national authorities and DRMs, Ministries, Embassies, Sectors and NGO staff, Host community and IDP Volunteers on Site Management and Site Coordination, Humanitarian Principles, and Protection Mainstreaming through trainings, workshops and guidance.
  • Facilitate the use of public and private buildings and community facilities to accommodate displaced individuals and families through support in site identification and assessment processes.
  • Establish exit strategies for these sites with a primary emphasis on site maintenance and decommissioning activities to restore the site to its original condition.
