Cash and voucher based assistance are increasingly important component in humanitarian response programs, particularly in areas with both functioning markets and geographic access challenges. In the TC Winston response a number of actors – including the Government of Fiji, UN agencies and NGOs – are providing, or preparing to provide, assistance through cash and voucher programs.

The informal Cash and Voucher Working Group is a cross-cluster group that seeks to ensure a consistent and harmonized approach to cash and voucher programming, including cash for work.
